Another DLC character has been selected for gameplay in the DC Comics’ game Injustice: Gods Among Us. Ironically, the newest character isn’t actually a DC Comics character.

Fans will remember the epic battle between worlds featured in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, a crossover of the World’s Greatest Superheroes and the colorful cast of the Mortal Kombat saga. Well, it seems it’ll be happening again as the newest character revealed for Injustice’s DLC is fan-favorite SCORPION. According to video game site LeftStickDown.com, the character will be released with an all-new costume designed by DC legend Jim Lee, and will be available for purchase on XBox Live.

This may come as a surprise to many Injustice fans, since it was rumored that it would actually be Scorpion’s opposite, Sub-Zero, included in the game. This news doesn’t necessarily mean that he won’t be included, but Netherrealm has, in the past, only included one alternate-universe character in their games (ex: Kratos in Mortal Kombat). Whatever it means, his inclusion does raise some interesting questions. How will he fit into the plot of Injustice? What will his gameplay look like? What cringe-worthy one-liner will Cyborg say upon defeating him? Sound off with your opinions in the comments below.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today released an all-new video revealing legendary Mortal Kombat character Scorpion as the next DLC character that will be available for the DC Comics fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us.  The version of Scorpion seen in the game is designed by Jim Lee, Co-Publisher at DC Entertainment, and pays homage to NetherRealm Studios’ original blockbuster franchise.

Scorpion will be available on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for 400 Microsoft Points and PlayStation®Network at a price of $4.99.

P.S. – Check out the trailer, be sure to stick around after the credits for the next DLC character reveal!
