The Batman Vertigo title that never happened

Gerard Way, former member of My Chemical Romance and successful comic book writer, revealed art from his no longer existing Batman pitch titled Kingdom of the Mad. The comic was intended for Vertigo, but never quite came to life.

On Twitter Gerard wrote,

“So theres (sic) no confusion-there’s are from a comic I pitched to DC the year Gab(Gabriel Bá) and I won the Eisner. Drawn prior to CW(Conventional Weapons) or DXD(Danger Days: the true lives of the fabulous Killjoys), at home in LA.”

Gerard also released concept art for Robin, Two-Face, Mr. Freeze, The Riddler,The Joker, and The Penguin. Concept sketches below:
