Candice Patton cast as Iris West for The Flash pilot

Actress Candice Patton (The Game) has been cast as Iris West for The Flash pilot. Patton’s character is described to be “(Barry) Allen’s fast-talking, quick-witted best friend.” Comic readers know Iris West as the wife of Barry Allen, pre-New 52.

Actors Grant Gustin will be playing Barry Allen aka The Flash and Law & Order’s Jesse L. Martin will play Detective West in the pilot.
