Earlier this week, it was revealed that Jada Pinkett Smith had been cast on FOX’s new show Gotham, due out this Fall, as the city’s crime kingpin…er, queenpin, Fish Mooney. Today, she posted the following to her official Facebook wall:

This could imply that Pinkett Smith will not be on the show past a year, and that there may be significant story developments where she is replaced as the city’s crime lord during the first season. With the role of Oswald Cobblepot aka the Penguin already cast, to be played by Robin Lord Taylor, and word that a young version of the Riddler will also appear, perhaps this show will contain more supervillains than was stated initially. This is potentially great news for those of us who can’t see a Gotham City without its garish rogues causing trouble! Stay tuned for more teases as production on the show begins in another month.
