Good news for ‘Beware the Batman’ fans out there! According to the official twitter of Toonami, the 2013 installment of the animated Batman franchise will be put on the Toonami schedule. As a result, it will be replacing ‘Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex’ on May 10th at 3am (Eastern Standard Time).

This comes as a shock to many as most assumed Cartoon Network (the network that houses the Toonami block) to never air the the rest of the season in America. The remainder of the 26 episode season still airs in other countries overseas ex. New Zealand.

‘Beware the Batman’ features everyone’s favorite Caped Crusader up against some of the lesser known villains from comics (Anarky, Lady Shiva, Professor Pyg, and Magpie). He’s joined in the field by ‘Batman and the Outsiders’ alum Tatsu Yamashiro a.k.a. Katana.  A much more active, former MI6 agent and lifelong butler, Alfred Pennyworth, provides assistance whenever neccessary. Also aiding Batman are James Gordon, a tough as nails lieutenant with the Gotham PD, and his daughter, Barbara, a tech-savvy preteen. The CG series seamlessly mixes action with mystery as The World’s Greatest Detective uses fists and wits to battle the thugs and the villains of Gotham.
