The first video of footage from “Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice” was revealed this morning during Warner Brothers Pictures Panel in Hall H at Comic-Con International in San Diego California. The panel began with Chris Hardwick introducing the panel followed by an epic reveal of the film’s logo onscreen and the introduction of Zack Snyder, the director of the film.
And when he came out dropped the first footage from Batman vs. Superman. The director brought out Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, and Gal Gadot; Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman respectively. The trio of film stars flew to San Diego to make this appearance and are scheduled to leave soon after as they must continue filming.
The footage from the trailer is as follows:
The teaser begins will a lot of drums being played, which increases in intensity as time passes. The black screen then gives way to a downpour of rain, giving way to seeing the man next to the Bat Signal. The signal gets turned on, and we see the Bat symbol reflect of the chest of none other than Superman.
And of course the man who is working the signal would be who else but the Dark Knight himself. Ben Affleck is covered in a much different Batsuit than we’ve seen with a much more armored look a la the Dark Knight Returns with glowing blue eyes. Superman stares right back at Batman with glowing eyes of his own, however his red with heat vision. The two engage in a stare down for a while before the screen cuts back to black with the drums reaching a fever pitch.
The footage was intense and the entire crowd in the hall received it with the same intensity. However Snyder was not done as he also revealed new concept art from the film and as the grand finale to the Batman vs Superman reveals was the reveal of Wonder Woman’s costume.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” will be released on May 6th, 2016 and will star Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, and Henry Cavill in the starring roles and Zack Snyder as director.
