Liam Neeson is one of Hollywood’s biggest actors and most DC Comics fans remember him for his iconic portrayal of Ra’s al Ghul in “Batman Begins.” With season three of Arrow quickly approaching it was announced that Ra’s al Ghul would be the main villain. A teaser for season three that appeared at Comic Con International showed a brief glimpse of the villain. No actor has been named or announced for the role.

So, the next big question is would Liam Neeson return to play the character if given the chance?

While promoting his upcoming film, “A Walk Among The Tombstones,” Neeson was asked by MTV News and answered the question with a surprising answer.

“No, I haven’t, I haven’t at all,” Neeson answered when asked if Warner Bros. or The CW had approached him about the role on “Arrow.” MTV News then asked if he would reprise the role if asked.
“I would, in a heartbeat, if it came my way, yeah. Very much so.” Neeson replied.

As much as we all would love to have this happen, it most likely will not because “Arrow” from the get go has said they are taking a different direction from the Nolan films. So with that being said, if and when a new actor is announced what advice would Neeson have for this actor?
“They have to believe in their philosophy,” Neeson said. “Ra’s al Ghul absolutely believed what he was doing was ultimately saving civilization, and it was quite a good argument he comes up with. Throughout the ages this fraternity, that brought the plague to wipe out a section of mankind because it needed to be regenerated again. Very dangerous, but you have to believe it.”
