Jason Fuchs, the man behind the upcoming Jackman/Joe Wright Peter Pan film Pan, is reportedly in the talks of scripting Warner Bros.’ movie based on the lasso-wielding DC Comics heroine, Diana of Themyscira.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fuchs will take on the DC Comics adaptation alongside director Michelle MacLaren, who also directed a number of episodes of AMC’s Breaking Bad and HBO’s Game of Thrones.

The Wonder Woman movie is only one of many installments of Warners’  cinematic universe based on DC Comics characters. Wonder Woman was created by the American psychologist and writer William Moulton Marston. The character first appeared in All Star Comics #8 in December 1941.

Details about the plot of the movie, including whether it will be set in the present day or another time period, are unclear, although it was rumored that the movie will be set in the 1920’s. Gal Gadot will make her debut as the character in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which will mark Wonder Woman’s first live-action feature film appearance. It is a possibility that the character could also appear in other movies before her debut on the big screen.

The Wonder Woman movie is scheduled for a 2017 release.
