So far this season of Arrow has been entertaining and kept fans on the edge of their seats. From the death of Sarah Lance/Black Canary to the much-anticipated crossover with The Flash this stands to be the best year for Arrow and its fans yet. Of course Arrow star Stephen Amell promises nothing but the best for the mid-season finale. Today on his Facebook page Amell noted that “The Climb” would leave fans “gasping for air.” Amell also said this finale episode, “might just be the finest hour of television this show has ever produced. You can never fully judge one of our seasons until we’ve stamped out our first 9 episodes. This will not leave you disappointed.”

As we all know Ra’s Al Ghul and Ollie will be having their first face-to-face. More than a face-to-face really, from the trailer it looks that we could be in store for a real treat. Executive Producer Mark Guggenheim said that having Ra’s on the show will bring an element of change to the series. “What’s really cool about Ra’s coming to the fore is that his presence changes the show,” Guggenheim said. “I mean, literally the show will not be the same after Episode 309.” Guggenheim also mentioned that Malcolm Merlyn will also have a role to play in the episode. “I think there’s a reason why Malcolm and Ra’s have very similar points of view on things,” he said, “and who knows? We may even see a little more of a connection between them in future episodes.” You can check out the entire interview with Mark Guggenheim right here.

With The Flash and Arrow’s mid-season finales both airing this week fans have a lot to look forward to. Check out the Arrow trailer below just in case you haven’t felt the excitement yet.
