One of the many great things about 2014’s The Lego Movie was the voice-acting of Will Arnett as the Lego Batman. As many know, a Lego Batman spin-off movie has been confirmed and will be released in the year 2017 and based on what has been said by co-writers and directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord, it can be determined that The Lego Batman movie will be awesome.

In November, Chris Miller told Empire:

“Rest assured that every era of Batman filmmaking will be acknowledged. There have been so many interpretations of Batman and there is so much to play with there.”

In a recent interview with MTV, Phil Lord stated:

“No spoilers, but I will say I think the movie is really exciting because it’s about ‘Can Batman be happy?’”

That being said, the overall theme of the upcoming film will be just that. “Can Batman be happy?” We’ve seen Batman “smile” every so often in some form of popular media, but it is not entirely known if he is truly capable of being happy.
