We’ve got two HUGE pieces of news for you all today, DCN fans. The CW has enjoyed much success with shows based on DC properties (Arrow and The Flash) and no doubt hope to see that trend continue with iZombie. This bold new show will premiere Tuesday, March 17 at 9pm EST after The Flash. Supernatural fans need not fear because that show will relocate to the 9pm slot on Wednesdays following Arrow.

Here’s The CW’s mid-season premiere schedule:

Wednesday, March 11
8:00-9:00pm “Arrow”
9:00-10:00pm “The 100” (Season Finale)

Tuesday, March 17
8:00-9:00pm “The Flash”
9:00-10:00pm “iZombie” (Series Premiere)

Wednesday, March 18
8:00-9:00pm “Arrow”
9:00-10:00pm “Supernatural” (New Night)

Friday, April 10
8:00-8:30pm “Cedric’s Barber Battle” (Series Premiere)
8:30-9:00pm “Whose Line is it Anyway?” (Cycle Premiere)
9:00-10:00pm “The Messengers” (Series Premiere)

For the uninitiated, here’s the description for the iZombie TV series:

Olivia “Liv” Moore was a rosy-cheeked, disciplined, over-achieving medical resident who had her life path completely mapped out…until the night she attended a party that unexpectedly turned into a zombie feeding frenzy.

And, for your viewing pleasure, the full trailer is embedded below. Pretty cool, huh?

The second bit of news to touch on is that a Vixen series is on the way, but there’s a catch: it will be broadcast online this fall as part of The CW Seed initiative. Not only that, it takes place in the same universe as Arrow and The Flash and will be animated! That’s right, animation and live action are overlapping! You can check out some promo art below.
