It may be January but there’s no such thing as too late a Christmas present.
Microsoft apparently knows this because this weekend, Xbox put DC Animated movies on sale and also made Justice League: The New Frontier free as part of the Xbox Video Free Movie Weekend. The sale will last until midnight on Sunday.
The Xbox streaming service allows you to watch the movie within 24 hours of its purchase on any device that runs Windows, as well as Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
New Frontier is based off of the comic called DC: The New Frontier by Darwyn Cooke and takes place in-between the Golden and Silver Ages of comics and follows the formation of the Justice League in the process. It begins with the disbanding of the Justice Society of America and follows Hal Jordan, Barry Allen, and John Jones as they learn to become heroes alongside the already legendary statures of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.
The film stars David Boreanaz as Green Lantern/Hal Jordan, Miguel Ferrer as John Jones/Martian Manhunter, Neil Patrick Harris as Barry Allen/The Flash, and Lucy Lawless as Wonder Woman, Kyle MacLachlan as Superman, and Jeremy Sisto as Batman. The film has garnered overall postive reviews and is a must-watch for any fan of the comic it is based off of or any DC Comic fan.
