Calista_Flockhart

Another piece of the puzzle falls into place as another actor joins the principal cast of CBS’ Supergirl. Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal) will inhabit the role of Cat Grant, who happens to be Supergirl’s employer (even superheroes need day jobs) at CatCo.

Flockhart joins Melissa Benoist (Kara Zor-El/ Supergirl) and Mehcad Brooks (Jimmy Olsen) in this Greg Berlanti produced prime time superhero drama. Stay tuned to DCN because a few roles have yet to be filled.

Since arriving on Earth, the Krypton-born Kara has been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin, Superman. But now at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be. Kara works as as assistant to Cat Grant, a self-made media magnate and founder of CatCo who started her career as a reporter and has built her company into a global powerhouse.

After falling into a vat of chemicals, this fellow adopted the name "Eric Joseph." Some say he is a freelance writer, while others say he can be found frequenting conventions and nightspots in the Detroit area. Needless to say, he prefers his background to be multiple choice.

If you cogitate the possibility that Supergirl’s universe is a “post-Superman” universe, this choice makes a lot of sense.
