Fox is bringing light to the possibility of more DC properties gracing the small screen as Tom Ellis (Rush) has been cast as Lucifer in, well, Lucifer.  The series is described as follows:

Based on the characters from the DC Entertainment’s Vertigo, the TV series centers on Lucifer (Ellis) who, bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the gorgeous, shimmering insanity of Los Angeles, where he gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals.

The pilot episode will be written by Tom Kapinos and directed by Len Wiseman (Underworld). Kapinos, Wiseman, Jerry Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman will serve as  executive producers, with KristieAnne Reed being a co-executive producer.

More casting news is sure to pour in soon, so stay tuned to DCN.
