‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’: First Promo Image & Trailer

Well, we finally have our first look at the principal cast of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow! Check it out.

Characters included from left to right: Rip Hunter, Hawkgirl, Dr. Martin Stein, Sara Lance/ White Canary (yes, you read that correctly), The Atom, Captain Cold, and Heat Wave.

Here’s the official description of the show:

When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends.  Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself.  Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known? DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW stars Victor Garber (“The Flash,” “Alias”); Brandon Routh (“Arrow,” “Superman Returns”); Arthur Darvill (“Doctor Who”); Caity Lotz (“Arrow”); Ciarra Renee (“Pippin”); Franz Drameh (“Edge of Tomorrow”); with Dominic Purcell (“The Flash,” “Prison Break”); and Wentworth Miller (“The Flash,” “Prison Break”). Based on the characters from DC Comics, DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (“Arrow,” “The Flash,” upcoming “Pan”), Marc Guggenheim (“Arrow,” “Eli Stone,” “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters”), Andrew Kreisberg (“Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Eli Stone,” “Warehouse 13”) and Sarah Schechter (“Arrow,” “The Flash,” upcoming “Pan”).

And here’s the trailer!

No premiere date has been given, but expect the show to launch in early 2016. It’s worth noting that Vandal Savage will be the main villain, at least for the first season, which will consist of 13 episodes.

Spoiler alert if anyone reading this hasn’t seen the latest episodes of The Flash and Arrow!

This looks pretty good. I’m curious to know when this meeting happens. Oliver is still wearing the black outfit he had on when he helped Flash the other night. It seems like the TV universe is being made to not use the JLA name at least for now. But then this is more like a JLA/Time Hunters brigade more than the JLA. Superman and Batman are not going to be part of this any time soon for sure, Wonder Woman neither. Maybe Supergirl?

Next season’s Arrow should start off interestingly. White Canary? Is Sarah going to remain underground again? Oliver already sees she is alive and the Lazarus Pit is how. I wonder when? Her body was laying on that table for a couple of days. When did she get taken to Nanda Parbat? Certainly Laurel doesn’t seem to know. There will be more fireworks when that news breaks and how long can they keep it from her? The Old Man will blow a gasket this time.

Firestorm is there, but only through Stein. I can see that. It’s actually a good idea. What will happen to Ronnie though? He was just there on Flash. An explanation is needed.

I have lost all concept of who Hawkgirl is. She is obviously not Shayera Hol and trying to wade through the Wikipedia on her just lost me. I don’t know if Hawkman even exists anymore. I don’t like it at all.

Well it’s going to be fun!
