Have you ever wanted to be a detective in Gotham City? Thanks to Amazon Echo you now have your chance.

Amazon has teamed up with Warner Bros. and DC Comics for a promotion unlike any other for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. If you own an Amazon Echo or an Amazon Fire TV with Alexa integration, you can play “The Wayne Investigation”.

An interactive choose your adventure where you have to solve the most infamous murder in comicbook history, that of Thomas and Martha Wayne. Players will be given up to 37 decisions throughout the game, which depending on the decisions of the player can take anywhere between 5 to 40 minutes to complete. There will be multiple characters that will have to be questioned as well as crime scenes to investigate. Amazon’s Alexa will be your eyes and ears during the investigation, guiding players through rooms and helping them find clues. This will be a pure audio game with sound effects and music to set the mood and tone of Gotham.

To launch the game, users have to enable it within the “skills” section of the Alexa app, and then say: “Alexa, open the Wayne Investigation.”

Rob Pulciani, Director of Alexa had this to say:

We’re thrilled to work with Warner Brothers and DC Comics to bring “The Wayne Investigation” to our Alexa-enabled devices, This is the first Alexa skill to use a combination of produced audio assets and Alexa technology.

The game was a written as a joint effort between head writers from DC Comics and Zack Snyder’s production company Cruel & Unusual Films. “The Wayne Investigation” marks the first time Amazon has partnered with a movie studio for this kind of promotion.
