Christian Bale Underwhelmed With His Turn As Batman

States Heath Ledger’s Joker was more interesting.

In a recent interview with Yahoo Movies, actor Christian Bale gives an account of his time as Batman in the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight trilogy. It appears he wanted to do more with the role. “I didn’t quite manage what I hoped I would throughout the trilogy,” Bale professed.

And the late actor Heath Ledger, in many fans eyes, including Bale’s, stole the show in the 2008 film The Dark Knight.

“Heath turned up, and just kind of completely ruined all my plans,” declared Bale. ‘Because I went, ‘He’s so much more interesting than me and what I’m doing.’”

Bale is ready to pass the torch to Ben Affleck to become the new Dark Knight in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on March 25. While he will take on a different kind of “knight” in Knight of Cups this Friday.
