Today DC Comics artist Aco, one of the members on the Deathstroke art team after DC’s Rebirth initiative starts this month, shared some concept art for the new series via Facebook; including rejected cover sketches and a sneak peek at the new looks for Deathstroke and his daughter Ravager.

When DC Comics rebooted five years ago, the redesigns took a fairly uniform approach. Almost all of the new costumes were designed by DC Entertainment co-publisher Jim Lee, or veteran artist Cully Hamner.

With Rebirth, the publisher said during a WonderCon panel last weekend, most of the redesigns were done by the art teams working on the monthly books, presumably opening up a broader interpretation and more diverse overall aesthetic to the costumes and worlds.

DC Universe: Rebirth comes on May 25, with Deathstroke shipping twice monthly starting in June.
