Smith ready to scribe for the Emerald Archer and bring one of his creations from page to screen

So what’s next for famed director and comic book writer Kevin Smith after directing an episode of The Flash? How about writing for Arrow?

In a recent article, Smith was asked if he would be interested in directing a certain other CW superhero show — Arrow. While he doesn’t want to direct, he is interested in giving words to Stephen Amell and the crew. He also wants to bring a creation of his to television from his time writing Oliver Queen’s comic book adventures.

““I would love to jump in for a one or two episode arc just to bring that Onomatopoeia character to life. That would be so badass – I created this character in the comics and then to do a live-action version of it that fit into their universe, fit into the run of their show?”

Apparently, Stephen Amell is also keen on the idea:

And Smith responded as only Kevin Smith would:

Smith’s time isn’t finished with the Scarlet Speedster though. He did such a great job with the episode “The Runaway Dinosaur” that he was asked to come back and direct for Season Three.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 / 7 c, and Arrow airs Wednesday at 8 / 7 c, both on the CW.
