Today, during the DC Films Panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Zack Snyder confirmed the return of Henry Cavill as Superman in the new Justice League movie. Something anyone who saw Batman v Superman, read The Death of Superman story, arc and/or both could probably predict.

“I don’t want to ruin it or anything, but you’ve got to have Superman,” Snyder announced before introducing  Cavill to the crowd.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Cavill took the stage with the rest of the cast: Ben Affleck (Batman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Ezra Miller (The Flash) and Ray Fisher (Cyborg). Footage of the film was also revealed, which you can find here.
