‘Wonder Woman’ Gets First TV Spot

Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman

Actress Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins brought SDCC-goers their first look at scenes from the film Wonder Woman. Fans cheered as they witnessed the Amazing Amazon FINALLY headline her own movie after many false starts. The clips were soon released online.

Now, people get to bear witness to what is shaping to be a great film. A television spot for Wonder Woman is now airing.

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

The film also stars Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui. The screenplay comes from Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, based on a story by Zack Snyder and Allan Heinberg, from the characters from DC Entertainment. Wonder Woman celebrates her 75th Anniversary this year. The character was created by William Moulton Marston.
