It’s an exciting time for Batman fans. With details of the upcoming animated movie Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders having recently been released (See all the exciting details here), even more exciting news surrounding the movie has been announced.
New York Comic Con is set to take place between October 6 – October 9, and as if there wasn’t already enough reasons to attend, it has just been announced that Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is set to debut the full-length animated feature film on the main stage of the Javits Centre.
The premiere is set for October 6, and it will give fans the chance to see the movie in all its two-hour long glory. What’s more, Adam West (Batman) will be present to headline the post-premiere panel alongside the director of the animated movie Rick Morales (LEGO® DC Comics Super Heroes and Justice League: Cosmic Clash), screenwriters Michael Jelenic (Teen Titans Go!) and James Tucker (Justice League vs. Teen Titans). Tucker and Jelenic are also acting as supervising producer and producer, respectively, on the film. Warner Bros. animation president and the film’s executive producer Sam Register will also be present as a moderator.
Having a panel with industry experts and Adam West, the Caped Crusader himself, is another reason why this is an occasion not to be missed. For those of us needing a little bit of a refresher on the plot of the movie, here’s the official synopsis:
Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment, the film takes fans back to the 1960s as Batman and Robin spring into action when Gotham City is threatened by a quartet of Batman’s most fiendish foes – Penguin, The Joker, Riddler and Catwoman. The four Super-Villains have combined their wicked talents to hatch a plot so nefarious that the Dynamic Duo will need to go to outer space (and back) to foil their arch enemies and restore order in Gotham City. It’s a truly fantastic adventure that will pit good against evil, good against good, evil against evil … and feature two words that exponentially raise the stakes for both sides: Replicator Ray. Holy Multiplication Tables!
