Harley Quinn Stars in New “INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US” Series

Harley Quinn fans rejoice for the Clown Princess stars in the all-new comic book series based on the Injustice videogame! The storyline, entitled GROUND ZERO is viewed through Harley’s eyes and helps to bridge the gap between previous INJUSTICE comics and the upcoming prequel INJUSTICE 2 comic. The comic is available now everywhere digital comics are sold. DC Entertainment reached out to us here at DCN with the following message:

DC’s all-new INJUSTICE comic book series INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US: GROUND ZERO by Chris Sebela launches today everywhere digital comics are sold. Adapting the first Injustice videogame into comic form, the new series tells the game’s storyline through the eyes of Harley Quinn.

Following the best-selling INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US comic book series by Tom Taylor and Brian Buccelato, DC debuted today an all-new digital first series INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US: GROUND ZERO. Continuing the epic Injustice saga, INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US: GROUND ZERO tells the story of the critically acclaimed Injustice: Gods Among Us video game, but with a twist – fans will get to relive the game’s storyline through the twisted and demented eyes of the clown princess of crime, Harley Quinn.

The new, earth-shattering series was developed in part by INJUSTICE veteran writer Brian Buccellato and is written by Chris Sebela, a rising star in the comic book industry and recent alumni of the DC Talent Development Workshop.

‘In GROUND ZERO, we’re trying to bridge the gap between the first INJUSTICE comic and the upcoming INJUSTICE 2 prequel comic by adapting the first videogame,’said Sebela. ‘I’m so excited to have Harley Quinn as our eyes and ears and heart of the book. While so much of Injustice is about larger than life figures at odds with each other, Harley’s down on the ground, dodging the fallout of all these wars, getting herself into trouble and trying to figure out how to live life post-Joker. By using Harley as our wildly unreliable narrator, we hope this book appeals to fans who’ve been reading INJUSTICE since Year One and for new readers who’ve never picked up an INJUSTICE book.’

This will be Sebela’s first DC project and he will be joined by a rotating cast of artists including Pop Mhan, Daniel Sempere, and many more, with covers by Ben Oliver.

Following today’s launch, new digital chapters are set to debut every Tuesday and the comic will eventually be offered as a twice-monthly print series beginning in December.

The first chapter is available for download now via the DC App, Readdcentertainment.com, iBooks, comiXology.com, Google Play, Kindle Store, Nook Store, and iVerse ComicsPlus.

Shaina Lucas

Hi! I'm Shaina aka the Jokergurl. I've been studying comics (namely Batman) since I was 12 years old, and possibly even before that. My forte is being up on absolutely everything there is to know about the Caped Crusader, and both the Clown Prince and Princess of Crime. I recently graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with an MA in English and Creative Writing. Currently I am earning my MFA at National University. I have 5 cats and 2 dogs, and spend what free time I have doing whatever (mostly Pokémon GO). Have a happy!
