Summary
Cyborg is a hunted man! Thanks to villain Anomaly, Cyborg has been infected with a dangerous computer virus. On the run and unable to reach S.T.A.R. Labs, Victor relies on an old friend for help. But what happens when another hero enters the scene? Will she help Cyborg, or will she finish him for being a danger to the public?

Positives
Semper Jr. tries to tell a really good story here. Notice I say the word “tries.” I thought the overall story was solid and good, although there was one aspect I didn’t like which we’ll talk about later. Semper delivers on the bond between Exxy and Cyborg here, which overall saves the book. It’s good that Cyborg has a “comic relief” or a good supporting character that at times can be quite useful in his own right. I’m starting to look at Exxy as a character I can see appear in probably every issue of Cyborg and not get tired of him.

Negatives
My only complaint for this book is the addition of the new hero “Black Narcissus.” She’s a tech super hero who apparently is based out of Detroit. I’m not knocking Semper’s attempt at bringing in a new character, but her appearance seems forced and completely unnecessary. Hopefully in the next issue Semper gives us a little history into the character and her motivations because in this story her appearance falls flat.

Verdict
I thought Semper Jr. told a good story. However, it was the unnecessary addition of another hero that ultimately drags it down. The last few issues have been strictly Exxy and Cyborg dealing with Anomaly, so maybe Semper was hoping to change things up a little. Honestly I feel like he should’ve stuck with the relationship between Exxy and Cyborg, which takes a backseat in this issue because of Black Narcissus and I didn’t like it at all.
