Vixen is getting her own animated movie (sort of) and it’s coming out later this month on May 23rd. It stars Megalyn Echikunwoke (Mari McCabe/Vixen), Grant Gustin (The Flash), Stephen Amell (Arrow), Katie Cassidy (Black Canary), Brandon Routh (The Atom), and many more as it combines the first two seasons of the digital series on the CW Seed (CW’s online network) into a unified story for everyone to enjoy. There will also be two episodes of Justice League Unlimited included, chosen by Bruce Timm! Specifically “Hunter’s Moon” & “Grudge Match”. Honestly, “Grudge Match” is probably my favorite episode in the Justice League Unlimited series. Unfortunately, no official price has been listed for the DVD or Blu-Ray, but keep your eyes peeled and we will inform you as soon as we know.

If you don’t know who Vixen is then let me give you some quick highlights about her. Mari McCabe aka Vixen, is originally from Africa but grew up an orphan after her parents were killed by greed and violence. Inheriting her family’s Totem, she can access the power of animals varying from the jumping ability of a flea to the weight and strength of an elephant. She chooses to use this gift to help protect the world from those who would seek to destroy it. Makes me wonder what Batman would do with it if he had it for a night. Yesh! Anyway here are a couple of teaser images from the movie courtesy of DC comics.

Vixen: The Movie will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on May 23, 2017.
