Wentworth Miller and Neal McDonough to Return in ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’ Season 3

Last season, we saw the Legends square off with the Legion of Doom — an evil group headed by Eobard Thawne (Reverse-Flash), and with his other accomplices Malcolm Merlyn, Damien Darhk, and Leonard Snart (Captain Cold). The Legion was defeated and the Legends sent Merlyn, Darhk, and Snart back to their respective times. But it seems that Captain Cold and Damien Darhk are making a comeback.

The CW announced that both actors, Neal McDonough and Wentworth Miller, will be back on the show this coming season. In the announcement, McDonough will be a series regular while Miller will be in a recurring role. Also Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter) will be back only as a recurring guest star. It is still unknown at this point what their character’s actual roles will be.

Ever since the fan favorite Captain Cold was killed off in the first season of Legends (sacrificing himself to stop the Time Masters), a lot of fans were eager to see him back in the second season. And when he returned, it was not the Snart we grew to love, but instead a younger Snart, a more self-serving Snart, as he went to the other side and fought against the Legends. So if Leonard Snart will return this season, what version will we see this time? With Miller in a recurring role, we also can’t help and think if Snart and Sara Lance will be continuing their short-lived romance. It has been hinted that the new captain of the Waverider will be having some sort of flame with an unknown character.

Meanwhile, Damien Darhk is the wildcard here. With his electric personality, Darhk could be a great addition to the series roster. Given that he’s a season regular, Darhk can be potentially be recruited by the Legends in helping unscrew their mess. It is also possible that Damien will be hired as a member of Rip Hunter’s Time Bureau.

With fall coming in our midst, we hope to see these characters either shape or break our heroes. Be sure to catch the premiere of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow on Tuesday, October 10 on The CW.
