Rumors have surfaced suggesting Gal Gadot could be making another appearance as Wonder Woman in the upcoming standalone Flash movie, Flashpoint.
According to Forbes, Gadot is indeed set to appear in Flashpoint following the Wonder Woman sequel slated for a 2019.
Flashpoint, which stars Ezra Miller as the Flash, is to adapt the DC story arc written by Geoff Johns. The story follows Barry Allen as he goes back in time to prevent the death of his mother resulting in the creation of an alternate timeline that changed the DC timeline for ever.
Flashpoint is looking to hit a release in 2020, according to news reports (however this is also just a rumor and has not been confirmed in anyway as of yet).
The project is currently without a director. Robert Zemeckis (Forest Gump, Back to the Future) has emerged as the front runner, but little has come of this and the project as a whole has been short on updates since the departure of director Rick Famuyiwa (Dope).
As it stands, Justice League is to be followed by Aquaman in 2018 but no other official dates are confirmed for the other projects, except for the Wonder Woman sequel in 2019.
For now, we have Justice League and we know for certain that Wonder Woman and The Flash will be appearing together come this November.
If any of this becomes official, we will let you know immediately, but in the meantime, here’s the official synopsis for Justice League:
“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”
Justice League is due to hit theaters November 17th 2017.
