Worldwide, Wonder Woman has officially breached the $800 million mark! This milestone is something to be proud of, and has had it coming for a while now. Since Wonder Woman’s big release on the television show, she has never really had quite the impact as when she came back in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice effectively stealing the show! Which had carried over into her solo film netting it over $100 million in its opening weekend back in June.
This of course paved the way for the box office hit to turn into a summer hit making $400 million by the end of July. Now, according to Box Office Mojo, the movie has officially crossed the $800 million mark worldwide this past Sunday. This makes it the 6th highest grossing superhero movie domestically, and the 11th worldwide, and will soon take the #10 spot, beating out 2002’s Spider-Man, which grossed $821.7 million.
Now, we get to watch it at home digitally come August 29th and on DVD/Blu-Ray on September 19th. But don’t worry the second Wonder Woman movie has been set to release in December of 2019. In the mean time, be sure to check out Wonder Woman in the upcoming DCEU film, Justice League, set to hit theaters on November 17, 2017.
