The film based on DC’s Mightiest Mortal, Shazam!, won’t hit theaters until April of 2019, but the cast is definitely taking shape. According to Variety, one of the latest additions is Annabelle: Creation‘s Grace Fulton.
We aren’t sure what role she’ll be playing yet, but it is reported she will play a friend of Shazam/Captain Marvel’s alter ego, Billy Batson, who was just cast with Asher Angel in the role. Zachary Levy has also been cast as Billy’s adult self and Mark Strong is in talks to play the film’s villain, Dr. Sivana, with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson still set to play Black Adam (though he most likely won’t appear in this film).
Casting Fulton in the film makes sense since Shazam‘s director, David S. Sandberg, also helmed Annabelle: Creation. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available!
