So, Supergirl and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will be taking turns airing episodes on the CW in 2018? Apparently so.

Following the CW’s announcement that their new superhero show Black Lightning would be replacing Legends on the midseason schedule, it has been announced that Legends would be moving to Monday nights at 8 p.m ET in 2018.

So what does this mean for Supergirl which currently already airs at this time? Well following the holiday break Supergirl will air for four weeks beginning on Jan 15th, after which Legends will air nine weeks of original episodes starting Feb 12th, during which time Supergirl will take a break until April 16th following the Legends season finale on April 9th. Supergirl will conclude with its season finale on Jun 18th which all in all adds up to 23 weeks of new episodes of Supergirl and Legends.
