We also saw the launch of DC’s epic events, Dark Nights: Metal and Doomsday Clock, several Titans casting stories, Young Justice Season 3 news, the beginning of DC’s new comic book branding look, and much, much more.

So before we get ready for another exciting news year, let’s take a look back at the biggest stories of 2017. Below is a list of the most popular articles that we’ve published on DC Comics News, based on web traffic.

1.) – Dying Woman May Get Wonderful Gift Courtesy Of Director Patty Jenkins

  • This story was heartwarming and heartbreaking all at the same time.  When a terminally ill woman named Mel Bradley reached out with her last wish being to see Wonder Woman, it was amazing to see such a response from people around the globe, including the director of the film, Patty Jenkins, who said she was trying her hardest to make this wish come true.  Unfortunately, Mel passed away on May 1st, one week after her plea went viral.

2.) – Trailer For Syfy’s Krypton Series Released

  • The first trailer for Syfy’s Superman prequel series, Krypton, dropped it’s first trailer earlier this year.  The show follows Kal-El’s grandfather, Seg-El, during a time where the House of El is in disarray and the El name is surrounded in shame.  Krypton will premiere on March 21st, 2018.

3.) – Supergirl Season 3 Release Date, Villain Cast and More

  • News of season 3 of CW’s Supergirl definitely got people excited as the new big bad was revealed to be none other than Reign!  We also saw a change in showrunners and a couple series regular status changes.  Supergirl will return on Jan. 15th.

4.) – Season 2 of DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow Coming To Netflix

  • After a huge deal between CW and Netflix took place, guaranteeing their shows being released 8 days after the end of the season, we saw the first series hit the streaming service with season 2 of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.  Season 3 is currently on hiatus until mid-February, when it will move to Mondays.

5.) – Writer’s Strike Authorized, May Delay Fall Shows, Including CWTV

  • A decade ago, the writer’s strike severally impacted the television landscape, causing many shows to cut their seasons almost in half.  This past year saw the looming threat of yet another strike, which, if it had taken place, would have definitely caused delays and, most likely, shortened seasons for all of our favorite DC shows.  Thankfully, they were able to come to a deal before anything was adversely affected.

Not only did we have some big news stories this year, we also had some great celebrity interviews and reviews of DC content.  Check out the top viewed interview and review on the site for the year 2017:
