Young Justice: Outsiders is expected to premiere late in 2018 according to a Twitter response from showrunner Greg Weisman. The show will appear exclusively on a DC-related online streaming service.

The history of television is littered with television shows that were cancelled or shortened long before they were supposed to. Cartoons are not immune from this treatment and so it was the case when Young Justice ran for only two seasons on Cartoon Network between 2011 and 2013.

But fans were not going to let Young Justice be forgotten so easily. For years, fans lobbied, plead, threatened, and did just about everything you could imagine to get the show back on the air and in 2016, they finally succeeded.

That year Warner Bros. Animation finally announced that Young Justice would be coming back. Recently it was revealed that the show would carry a subtitle in the form of Young Justice: Outsiders and now, although it seems farther away than most fans would’ve liked, the show is looking at a late release in 2018. You can see the tweet for yourself down below:

The show will be featured alongside the live-action series Titans, based on the characters featured in that comic.

If you get a chance, you should definitely check out the first two seasons of Young Justice so you can be ready for the new season. As of this writing, we have no idea what DC’s streaming service is going to look like but you can be sure we will let you know when that information is available.
