With The Flash Season 4 heading into its final arc concluding a dramatically different storyline this year, the excitement and thrill that drew audiences in the first season appears to prove that lightning can indeed strike twice!
Last season of The Flash will without a doubt be remembered as Barry Allen’s darkest hour! Battling the sinister force of Savitar, the Scarlet Speedster (portrayed by Grant Gustin) was in an inevitable race against time after getting a glimpse of a future without his true love, Iris (Candice Patton). Season 3 was dedicated to Team Flash figuring out how to prevent the murder of Iris West and the dark theme brought the series’ usually bright tone way done.
Executive Producer and show-runner Todd Helbing was determined to make certain that he and his writing team returned the show to its original manifesto which was a lot more light-hearted and thrilling. Picking a non-speedster powered villain to take on our hero, opened the door to all new possibilities including the introduction of some new allies like the Elongated Man (Hartley Sawyer) and reintegrating the “favorite” Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) from Earth-2.
In response to the new excitement generated among fans for a season that has been full of all-new rogues, a crisis from a counter-earth, and a wedding to boot, The CW has extended the “Get Up and Go” promo and added in some of the season’s best moments so far!
