In 2016, Warner Bros announced that they were working on a Booster Gold movie. Now, writer and producer Greg Berlanti has given Warner Bros his first draft and is waiting for a response.
Warner Bros has a number of things to consider regarding this movie, including how it is going to fit into the DCEU. He also said he would be open to directing the project. Berlanti had this to say about his script and directing below.
It’s still in development with DC, I wrote a draft, they’re trying to figure out both the distance that we still have to travel and how we want to execute it. That’s really on them, they’re still kind of determining their order of business on that end.
If the studio is excited — it’s obviously their determination. We finished all the work we need to do on the draft, I would love to do something in that space. I’m still a little clueless on how movies come together. I show up to work every day and make the work as good as I can but then they call me and say, “We’re making it!”
Fans may know Greg Berlanti for his assistance in creating the CW’s Arrowverse. Now let’s see how he tackles Booster Gold.
