With several films in production, rumors are surfacing that The Flash’s big screen debut FlashPoint will be moving its production to Vancouver, and right into the Arrowverse’s backlot!

After two intriguingly exciting guest appearances before making his formal introduction in the full-length Justice League The Flash as portrayed by Ezra Miller will soon join the Caped Crusader, Man of Steel and Amazing Amazon starring in his own blockbuster motion picture. The film entitled FlashPoint has proven as challenging to keep up with as the Scarlet Speedster himself. Rumored to be an adaptation of the classic Geoff Johns event storyline that reimagined much of the DC Comics, the expectation is that the film may do the same for the cinematic universe.

After several serious change of hands, The Flash’s big screen debut has been rocketed with several controversies as directors signed on, only to leave after citing “creative differences” and a first-draft script was rejected by the studio when it turned out it skewed too close to the origin story of The Flash appearing weekly in the hit TV series now in its fourth season on The CW. Now news is breaking that Ezra Miller may be crossing paths with his television counterpart Grant Gustin as FlashPoint moves its production to Vancouver.

Though Vancouver has always been a haven home away from Hollywood for film and television production, this is especially interesting because most (if not all) of The CW superhero series based on DC Comics characters all shoot on location in Vancouver and commandeer several sound stages in one of the cities biggest movie lots. With Ezra Miller’s Flash citing the city as its home base, its new directorial team, screenwriters John Francis Daley and Johnathan Goldstein will have to figure out immediately how to expand on the scope of this feature.

FlashPoint certainly wouldn’t be the first WB production to choose Canada as its home base; Suicide Squad shot in Toronto, and now Shazam! is also in production to the North. The coastal city of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada has been the home of Berlanti Production’s Arrowverse for six seasons including Central City home of The Flash, and will now presumably serve as the backdrop for its big-screen version as well. FlashPoint is set to star Ezra Miller and Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, with a speculative appearance from Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan the actor who portrayed Thomas Wayne in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has expressed an interest in donning the cape and cowl to play the Batman of the “FlashPoint” continuity. FlashPoint does not have an official release date.
