One of the first projects Geoff Johns will be exploring is a ‘3 Jokers’ series. It is entitled Three Jokers, and Jason Fabok will be collaborating as the artist. The series will explore the plot threads left dangling in DC Universe: Rebirth two years ago.

The story picks up on the most strange an interesting storyline ever: there are three Jokers, three different people, who share the Clown Prince of Crime’s identity. This mystery is unlike anything the Dark Knight has faced. It will shed new light on The Batman, and those closest to him and everything he’s ever known about The Joker comes into question.

Johns will split time between big DC series like Doomsday Clock, Shazam!, and Three Jokers, and his pop-up imprint, which will give him more leeway and will get him back into the swing of revitalizing stagnant characters. Not that Joker is ever stagnant, but you get the idea.

“I took on a role at DC Entertainment because I love the characters and this universe more than anything,” said Johns. “But, I want to spend my days writing and on set. I’m thrilled to get back to a more hands-on creative role. It’s a dream job on dream projects, reaching even deeper into DC’s vast pantheon of characters. I’m also excited to continue to work with the amazing team at DCE and my colleagues at Warner Bros.”

There is no launch date yet, but we expect to hear some more news of Johns and his projects at SDCC.
