Sofia Vassilieva has been cast to play Looker in Black Lightning Season 2 on the CW. Vassilieva is no stranger to the DC Universe having played cult member Olivia in Supergirl. Now, she will play Looker, a DC hero who has a had a variety of powers and appearances over the years, from a member of the Outsiders, to a vampire.
It has not yet been announced which iteration Vassilieva will be playing, but showrunner Salim Akil had this to say, “It’s really going to be interesting, the way we approach that story…. I think people will enjoy it, but also be challenged by it.”
In addition to her role in Supergirl Vassilieva has also been credited in Medium, Lucifer, Timeless, Training Day, and Law and Order: SVU.
Black Lightning season 2 premieres Tuesday, October 9 at 9:00 EST on the CW Network.
