Comedian Ali Wong has been added to the Birds of Prey cast in a yet to be determined role for a movie that is scheduled to be release in early 2020. The announcement coincides with a flurry of casting announcements that have been made within the last few days.

Some readers might recognize Wong from two comedy specials on Netflix entitled Baby Cobra and Hard Knock Life. The comedian has also appeared on a variety of tv shows such as American Housewife, Are You There, Chelsea?, Inside Amy Schumer, and Black Box.

As for her involvement in Birds of Prey, it is hard to say what role she will be playing specifically but according to the report, Wong might be cast closely to Rosie Perez’s character Renee Montoya. This casting is very close to the beginning of the production for the film, which is scheduled to begin in January 2019.

As for the other castings, they are as follows: Margot Robbie will be Harley Quinn once again; Mary Elizabeth Winstead has been cast as The Huntress; Jurnee Smollett-Bell will play Black Canary; the aforementioned Rosie Perez will play Renee Montoya; and Ella Jay Basco will portray Cassandra Cain.

Birds of Prey premieres on Feb. 7, 2020.
