Summary

Batman and Catwoman are trapped by Talia al Ghul! Surrounded in a room full of her silent assassins, Batman and Catwoman fight an entire army to the death! Can the newly engaged couple survive? And what awaits them if they do?

Positives

Batman and Catwoman taking on an army of assassins! What more do you need as a positive than that? Seriously, King did a great job in this issue. You really get to see the connection that Batman and Catwoman have, and it’s good to see Batman fully trust someone the way he trusts Catwoman. Right in the middle of battle, Bruce takes the time to tell Selina he loves her–and it punches you right in the gut. The love between Bruce and Selina is real, and King has no problems with showing it off.

Negatives

I have no negatives about this book! The story is told well, the action was great and the art by Jones was awesome on every page. I love to see Batman taking on assassins for some reason and this issue gives it to you in spades! We even have a showdown between Batman and Talia, which ends with Batman beaten and bloodied! Already tired from battling hordes of Talia’s assassins, Batman was beaten badly–leaving only Selina left to deal with Talia!

Verdict

Batman #34 is a literal battle of the exes as we see Batman and Talia go head to head! I’m actually looking forward to the next issue honestly! I’ve always wanted to see the two loves of Bruce Wayne fight it out and next issue it looks as if we’ll finally see it!
