Ben Affleck and Henry Cavil and others will return to film reshoots for the Snyder Cut! Upon the announcement of the Snyder Cut coming to WarnerMedia’s new streaming service in 2021, one of the biggest questions was if Snyder would get to film more scenes. Justice League went through extensive reshoots directed by Joss Whedon to change Snyder’s vision, and he’s let it be known that there were scenes he still wanted to film. It was stated at the start that Snyder likely would not get the chance to film more scenes to complete Justice League, but that has now changed in a big way.
This is very interesting considering that Ben Affleck is done playing Batman (though he will return as the character in The Flash) and it is still uncertain what the future of Cavil’s Superman is.
It is also reported that Gal Godot and Ray Fisher will also return. Fisher’s legal battle with Warner over abusive conditions on Joss Wedon’s shoot for Justice League are well and it is unsure how this will impact these reshoots.
At any rate, it is good to see this production move ahead!
