Armie Hammer has ruled himself out of playing Batman in Warner Bros’ upcoming Superman vs Batman movie.
The Lone Ranger star was due to play Bruce Wayne in George Miller’s Justice League: Mortal before the project was canceled during the 2007 writers’ guild strike.
“I’m not actually a big fan of superhero films,“
he told Metro.
“If you have a guy who is supposed to be invulnerable, then what’s the point?“
Hammer’s next movie will be Guy Ritchie’s The Man From UNCLE, which will see him star opposite Man of Steel‘s Henry Cavill.
“I think if Henry and I did that film and then a superhero film straight after, people might start to wonder about us,“
he quipped.
The Superman vs Batman movie will open in 2015, with Man of Steel‘s Zack Snyder returning to direct.
