As Green Arrow fans anxiously await the impending Outsiders War, DC Comics has released the first look at the new villain Kodiak. Head of the Shield Clan of the Outsiders, Kodiak will be called upon to lead an attack against the Emerald Archer and Shado before they can take down the Outsiders.
Kodiak, head of the Shield Clan, makes his first appearance in issue 26.
Kodiak, created for the New 52 by Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino, is a member of the criminal organization called the Outsiders. Based in Prague, the Outsiders were originally made up of seven clans of warrior groups, each with a distinct weapon. Nowadays, they are led by the mysterious Golgotha, with other clan heads below them. Oliver Queen is pursuing the Outsiders to gain vengeance on the villain Komodo and to find out more about the secrets his father left behind.
Kodiak will make his first appearance in December’s Issue 26 and will then lead the charge in a bloody conflict in Issue 27. Lemire and Sorrentino’s Outsiders War story arc will last 6 issues in total and will reveal secrets about Oliver’s past throughout the conflict occurring in the present.
