While promoting the upcoming animated feature “Home” in an interview with MTV UK, Jim Parsons, who is well-known for his role on the hit tv show The Big Bang Theory, revealed that he wanted to play a role in a Batman movie as a The Riddler.
“I would like to be a villain, and I would really like to play the Riddler. I don’t feel they’re using the Riddler very much, are they?”
He isn’t wrong. The Riddler hasn’t had any time on the theater since Jim Carrey dawned the green bodysuit in “Batman Forever.” Although the brain-teasing Batman villain has a role in FOX’s Gotham. In the show, Cory Michael Smith plays the part of GCPD forensic scientist Edward Nygma, who we can see is dangerously close to growing into his role as a villain.
Personally, I would love to see Jim Parsons play The Riddler. His character Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory shares some very similar traits to the villain. It seems he doesn’t need a lab accident to become a supervillain. What do you think? Would you like to see this actor portray Edward Nygma? Let us know in the comments!
