Another Walking Dead vet will appear in the Arrow-Flash-verse in The Flash episode 18 cross-over event of the season. This past weekend’s PaleyFest 2015 Look Ahead Trailer gave us our first glimpse of the Bug-Eyed Bandit, Brie Larvan, played by Emily Kinney. Brie’s high-tech work station below resembles that of the Nebuchadnezzar in The Matrix. I doubt however that her computers could download Kung-Fu into her brain . . .
Brie is the reincarnation of the male version of the villainous Bug-Eyed Bandit, Bertram Larvan. Brie’s version is the egotistical tech goddess to Felicity Smoak’s bumbling-bee hacker whiz. In other words, Brie is Felicity’s arch nemesis. The pair will duke it out over The Flash in Central City in the upcoming crossover episode. In a hacker-fight-to-the-death with their multiple screens and keyboards galore, Felicity must be the better nerd to save Barry’s life. Will she succeed? I’m biting my nails already, but of course she has to win! Where would season 2 be without Barry Allen?
This episode promises to be full of action-packed drama with other guest appearances by Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer donning his new A.T.O.M. suit and as suggested by the trailer, Laurel Lance and her father, Captain Lance. Felicity and Ray are in Central City to seek the help of S.T.A.R. labs with Palmer’s A.T.O.M. suit when all hell breaks loose.
Kinney played Beth Greene in The Walking Dead from 2011 up until this year when her character was killed. If she couldn’t hack it in zombiefied America, how will she stand up against the genius of Miss Smoak? Bring it you brie-smelling Bug-Eyed Bandit! Just kidding. I doubt Brie truly smells like cheese.
