Another piece of the puzzle falls into place as Franz Drameh (Hereafter, Edge of Tomorrow) joins the cast of the as yet untitled Arrow/ Flash spin-off. According to Deadline, Drameh “will play Jay Jackson, a former high school athlete whose pro career was derailed by injury. Now making ends meets as an auto mechanic, Jay will come to have a surprising affiliation to the S.T.A.R. Labs crew.”
As of this time, the producers are mum about which superhero he will play. The popular theories are Black Lightning, Static, and Black Vulcan. Personally, I’m hoping for Black Lightning – that costume would look awesome in live action.
I can’t be the only one that thinks this costume would look incredible in live action.
Drameh is joined by Brandon Routh (Arrow‘s Ray Palmer/The Atom), Wentworth Miller (The Flash’s Leonard Snart/Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (The Flash’s Mick Rory/Heat Wave), Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein), Caity Lotz (probably a resurrected Canary/ Sara Lance), Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter) and Ciara Renée (Hawkgirl). The show is expected to air mid-season; likely early 2016.
