During Arrow‘s third season finale, Oliver Queen appeared to be heading to Coast City in the final scene of the flashback sequence. In an interview with TVLine, Arrow star Stephen Amell affirmed that season four would see Oliver in Coast City.
Coast City, home to Green Lantern Hal Jordan in the comic books, has been name-dropped a number of times on both Arrow and The Flash, only this time, Oliver is going to physically be in Coast City.
The day before Arrow‘s finale, an episode of The Flash made reference to the disappearance of a Ferris Air test pilot. Could that test pilot be none other than Hal Jordan?
It’s likely his disappearance is connected to his introduction to the Green Lantern Corps, a spacefaring group of law enforcers who recruited Hal by grabbing him while he was working on a stationary flight simulation pod.
Unclear about the direction of the main story this year, Amell said that he knows the whole flashback story. What is clear is that Damien Darhk will appear again on the show, as well as “H.I.V.E., Coast City, all that good stuff.”
What will the involvement of Coast City mean for Arrow?
Arrow returns in the fall for its fourth season, with Damien Darhk and H.I.V.E. serving as the primary antagonists, while other plot threads from the first three seasons will almost certainly continue to play roles with A.R.G.U.S., the League of Assassins and a newly-christened Ra’s al Ghul in the form of Malcolm Merlyn.
