Episode six of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will send the legends back to the future to battle Vandal Savage. When the team returns to the year 2046, they’ll be met by an “old” acquaintance. Stephen Amell will guest star in the sixth episode of season one of the show, playing the role of an old Oliver Queen, with some added (and missing) features.
The first added feature -which is the most important- is his goatee. Yes, we will finally see TV’s Green Arrow rocking the iconic goatee fans have been longing for ever since the DC Television Universe began with Arrow way back in 2012. The episode will also feature Connor Hawke, who is Oliver Queen’s son and is the second Green Arrow in the comics.
The missing feature is an arm. Though we haven’t seen Amell as old man Oliver, there is no doubt that this is indeed a reference to Green Arrow as he appears in the legendary Batman story The Dark Knight Returns, in which he appears to be an old man with long, white hair and beard and an amputated arm. Though that doesn’t stop him from being the best archer out there.
Earlier today, Stephen Amell went live and gave the rundown of his appearance in the episode via his Facebook page, which you can view below.

There you have it. The man himself told us some of the things we can expect to see in his future. Are you looking forward to seeing old Oliver Queen, or perhaps you’d like to see Conner Hawke take on the mantle of the Green Arrow? Or maybe you’re just excited to see that goatee. But who are we kidding? You want to see it all.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow airs Thursday nights at 8pm on The CW.
