The synopsis for the upcoming April 11th episode of Supergirl, titled “Myriad”, has been released, and it revealed an interesting guest star.
Former WWE Diva Eve Torres Gracie (who wrestled simply as Eve Torres) has been cast as Maxima. She will appear in the episode alongside returning villains Non (Chris Vance) and Indigo (Laura Vandervoort).
The episode will feature Supergirl challenged by Non and Indigo’s latest attack, which turns National City’s population into their personal army! and while the synopsis doesn’t tie Maxima to the villains’ attack, it’s worth pointing out that mind control and various psionic powers are among Maxima’s powerset in the comics.
Created by Roger Stern and George Perez, Maxima debuted in 1989’s Action Comics #645. She is a member of the royal family of the planet Almerac and traveled to Earth on a quest to find a worthy suitor.
Eve previously had roles in Scorpion King 4: Quest for Power and the TV series Matador. Her wrestling career began in 2007 when she won the WWE’s Diva Search, and she currently serves as an ambassador for the WWE following her departure in late 2012. Maxima previously appeared on Smallville, played by Charlotte Sullivan.
