Warner Bros. has released the very first trailer for the upcoming The LEGO Batman Movie.
This new animated film will serve as a spinoff to 2014’s The LEGO Movie which is where Arnett’s LEGO Batman character debuted. Check out the synopsis below:
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure: “The LEGO Batman Movie.” But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
The LEGO Batman Movie sees Will Arnett reprising his role as Batman and is joined by Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred Pennyworth, Michael Cera as Robin, Zach Galifianakis as The Joker, and Mariah Carey as Mayor Marion Grange. It is being directed by Chris McKay.
The LEGO Batman Movie is set to hit theaters on February 10, 2017.
