Some few months ago, fans were thrilled with the announcement that CBS’s Supergirl would be moving to The CW for its second season, adding the series to the network’s already great selection of DC superhero television shows and expanding the DC Television Universe.
If you happened to miss the show’s run on CBS, you’re in luck, as it was announced today that starting August 1 The CW will be broadcasting the entire first season of Supergirl. This will lead up until the premiere of Season 2 on October 2 which will mark Kara Zor-El’s official arrival to The CW network.
As is the case with most superhero shows on The CW, Supergirl will feature some very recognizable guest stars that fans will be eager to see. In this pool of guest star, we have Teen Wolf star Tyler Hoechlin stepping up as Kara Zor-El’s cousin, Kal-El, better known as Superman. While superhero show veteran, Lynda Carter, who donned her iconic satin tights as TV’s Wonder Woman, will hold a recurring role as the President of the United States.
